These General Terms & Conditions of Sale and Use are agreed between:

Erik Lang, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (hereinafter referred to as “the Seller”), operating via the website www.eriklang.co.uk,

and

any natural or legal person wishing to make a purchase via the website (hereinafter referred to as “the Customer”).


Preamble

The Seller produces handmade ceramic items. These Products are offered for sale through the website www.eriklang.co.uk.

Due to the handmade nature of the Products, variations may occur as described in these Terms.


Article 1: Scope

These Terms & Conditions define the rights and obligations of the Seller and the Customer in relation to the online sale of Products.


Article 2: General Provisions

These Terms apply to all sales made via the website. By placing an order, the Customer confirms acceptance of these Terms without reservation.

The Seller reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The applicable version is that in force at the time of the order.

The Customer confirms they are legally capable of entering into a contract under UK law.


Article 3: Prices

Prices are listed in GBP (£).

The Seller is not VAT registered, therefore no VAT is charged.

Prices do not include shipping unless otherwise stated. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

For international orders, customs duties or import taxes may apply. These are the responsibility of the Customer.

The Seller reserves the right to change prices at any time; however, the price at the time of order will apply.


Article 4: Orders

To place an order, the Customer must:

  • Select the Product
  • Provide accurate billing and delivery details
  • Review and confirm the order

Confirmation of the order constitutes acceptance of the contract.

The Seller reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in case of error, suspected misuse, or other legitimate reason.


Article 5: Products

All Products are handmade.

As a result:

  • Dimensions, colours, and finishes may vary
  • Small imperfections are part of the nature of the work
  • Photographs are indicative and not contractually binding

The Customer acknowledges these characteristics before purchase.


Article 6: Availability

Products are offered subject to availability.

If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, the Customer will be informed and offered:

  • A refund
  • Or an alternative solution where appropriate

Article 7: Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of order.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Debit / credit card
  • Other online payment methods as available at checkout

Payments are processed securely via third-party providers.

If payment fails, the order will be cancelled.


Article 8: Delivery

Products are shipped to the address provided by the Customer.

Delivery times are indicative and may vary.

The Seller is not responsible for delays caused by postal services or customs.

Risk transfers to the Customer upon delivery.

It is the Customer’s responsibility to provide accurate delivery information.


Article 9: Right to Withdraw (Returns)

In accordance with UK consumer law, the Customer has the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the Product.

To exercise this right, the Customer must notify the Seller by email.

Conditions:

  • Items must be returned unused and in original condition
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer

This right does not apply to:

  • Custom-made or personalised items

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item.


Article 10: Faulty or Damaged Goods

If a Product arrives damaged or faulty, the Customer must contact the Seller within a reasonable time and provide evidence (e.g. photographs).

The Seller will offer:

  • A replacement
  • Or a refund

Return shipping costs for faulty items will be covered by the Seller where appropriate.


Article 11: Retention of Title

Products remain the property of the Seller until full payment has been received.


Article 12: Liability

The Seller shall not be held liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Damage resulting from misuse of the Product

Nothing in these Terms limits the Customer’s statutory rights.


Article 13: Intellectual Property

All content on the website (including images, text and designs) remains the property of the Seller.

No reproduction or use is permitted without prior written consent.


Article 14: Force Majeure

The Seller shall not be liable for failure to fulfil obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control.


Article 15: Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR.

Data is used solely for:

  • Order processing
  • Delivery
  • Communication

Customers have the right to access, amend or delete their data.


Article 16: Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
